United States men's national team star Yunus Musah will be sidelined until the new year after picking up a muscle injury in the Champions League.

report (via Francesco Nasato) that the young midfielder, who played 83 minutes against Newcastle in the Champions League on December 13, suffered a muscle injury during that contest. As a result of the knock, he will be sidelined for a few weeks, with a return to the pitch not on the cards until the new year.

Musah has been beyond influential to the Rossoneri's campaign so far in 2023, playing in 18 matches for the Italian side. After joining from Valencia in the summer, the American has become a favorite under boss Stefano Pioli, earning his trust in the center of the pitch. Now, however, they will have to go about without him for at least two matches, with the earliest possible return being January 2 against Cagliari in the Coppa Italia.
