Although Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos is slowly finding his feet during his time with Arsenal, La Liga prospects temporarily arriving at the club have not always worked out for the north London outfit.
During the 2018/19 campaign, Barcelona’s Denis Suárez arrived on loan in the Premier League but failed to impress during his time in the capital, making just four league appearances.
But it is comments from the midfielder regarding his time with Arsenal that have got a number of the club’s fanbase talking, with many supporting the Spaniard and instead criticising manager Unai Emery for his handling of the player’s injury-hit spell.
Although current results alongside Wednesday night’s draw with Vitoria is likely to have angered a number of the club’s fans, it’s clear that these supporters feel Suárez’s lack of opportunities during his time in the top-flight were attributable to Emery instead of the Barcelona man.
Following comments from Suarez, here are some of the best reactions criticising Emery’s management of the midfielder during his time in the Premier League.
Some were even more unsympathetic, suggesting that Emery should have lost his job solely on the basis of his decision to bring Suarez to the club from a wider perspective.
But some fans took a more balanced view, suggesting it was interesting to gain some wider insight on the inner workings of the club with regards to how injuries are dealt with.
An unsuccessful loan spell is always bound to divide opinion, and this appears to certainly have been the case in the club’s move for Suarez in 2018/19.
