Garnacho posted images of him celebrating his goals against Villa on Boxing Day. Among them was a picture of Martinez helping his international co-star by holding his legs as he struggled with cramp towards the end of the match. Garnacho added blue and white love hearts on the image, the colours of the Argentina jersey.

Garnacho, who has featured three times in the Argentina team alongside Martinez, helped United to a much-needed win when he struck twice in the Boxing Day clash. United had failed to win in their last three Premier League matches, resulting in some dire criticism of Erik ten Hag's team.
