Mead opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a crisp finish from a scintillating move produced by the Gunners. Russo then doubled the team's lead in the 75th minute after receiving a pass from Steph Catley, who had made a brilliant solo run down the middle. Three minutes later, Mead completed her brace as her team registered a comfortable 3-0 win over The Foxes.

With the win at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Jonas Eidevall's side kept up the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester City. They currently find themselves third in the WSL table, three points behind the Blues and six behind league leaders City.
