During Brentford's 3-2 loss to Tottenham in January, Bees loanee Maupay copied Maddison's dart throwing celebration – something that the Spurs player did not like. After helping Tottenham secure a comeback victory, the England midfielder got into a war of words with the Frenchman and belittled his playing career. Now, the Everton man has poked fun at the 27-year-old following Gareth Southgate's call to leave him out of the Three Lions' 26-man Euros squad.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Maddison was among a number of high-profile omissions from England's final Euro 2024 squad, including former captain Harry Maguire. The former Leicester man said he was "devastated" by the news but wished the Three Lions the best in the tournament. Incidentally, Maupay's tweet is likely to have enraged Maddison further still.
