There’s a lot of mystery about Ian Poveda at Leeds at the moment.
The young winger hasn’t been on the bench in recent weeks, much to the frustration of the fanbase, and we’re not quite sure why he hasn’t been playing.
The former Man City man is reportedly highly rated by both Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta, but he’s still not been handed a debut, despite signing almost a month ago.
Earlier this week Leeds released a behind the scenes video from their training ground ahead of the Reading game, and the 20-year-old caught the eye with one moment of magic.
Leeds were undertaking a shooting drill where a player had to control a ball before shooting from range.
Predictably, Pablo Hernandez put away a sublime effort, but the youngster managed to top what the two-time Player of the Year winner produced.
Poveda brought the ball down, before taking a touch with his right and smashing one in off the post with his left, leaving the goalkeeper rooted to the spot.
Whether or not Poveda will be able to replicate this in a match remains to be seen, but this was certainly a very impressive effort.
In other news, Leeds have one viable option to fix a huge problem position.
