It seems that Mourinho isn’t done yet however, with a whole host of other huge European names still linked with the English giants.

Sliding out of the DMs…
One of the longest running transfer sagas around has been Paul Pogba being linked with a return to Manchester Untied and it appears that the story is only going to intensify in the next few days.
With United already confirming the signings of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, new manager Jose Mourinho has clearly identified who he feels he needs to return United to the top of the Premier League tree.
Many feel Pogba would be the final piece in United’s ideal midfield and it seems as though he’s coming round to the idea of leaving Juventus with his latest activity on Twitter.
The midfielder, currently on international duty with France, has been busy helping his country get to the semi-finals of EURO 2016 but hasn’t been too busy to un-follow his current club on the social media website.
Whilst it’s not a photo of Pogba in a United top it’s still a significant development and clearly the Juve star is beginning to distance himself from the club…

Mou hints at more
All eyes were on Jose Mourinho yesterday as he gave his first press conference as Manchester United manager. Nothing changes, it seems.
But it was, at least, an interesting press conference. As well dropping jibes at the likes of Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho told the world that he has four key transfer targets this summer.
After asking his press officer ‘how many signings were already official, two or three?’ he was told two: Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The third is supposedly Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but the fourth is a little less obvious.
Whilst Manchester United fans will be starting to dream about who their promised fourth signing of the summer will be, we’ve narrowed the list down to FIVE potential targets, and according to the newspaper reports we’ve been reading, the likelihood is that Mourinho will be targeting another midfielder.

Potential XI?
Pre-season training has barely started, but already players must be playing for their places in their teams next season.
Carrington must be a lonely place just now, with the majority of the squad ambling back either from international duty or a sandy beach, but Jose Mourinho will surely still have a good idea of what sort of a team he wants to build this summer.
Manchester United have already been busy in the transfer market this summer, signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly as Jose Mourinho looks to undo three years of stagnation since the end of the Ferguson era, and build upon an FA Cup victory last season.
With Louis van Gaal gone, United can start to play a much more pragmatic style under Mourinho, but after two seasons of Van Gaal, United’s players will surely be technically and mentally better players. All it needs now is that pragmatic, fighting edge that Jose Mourinho will give them.

Heads will roll
Jose Mourinho doesn’t phaff about when it comes to making decisions on the future of players.

The new Manchester United manager has already splashed cash this summer. The signings of Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly will be scrutinised throughout the following few months, with Mourinho sure to add to that before the window closes at the end of August.

In the horse race?
Winning the league for Manchester United seems like respectable politics, a distant, distant memory. It has only really been a few years since Man United last won the big pot, but their fans and board are becoming increasingly restless at the prospect of this extending much further.
Spoilt by success, spoilt by Sir Alex Ferguson and an innate belief they deserve success, Man United are making rumblings that 2016/17 could be their year… a year they become a respected ‘big club’ once again and finally compete with the other sides that have eclipsed their achievements over the preceding few seasons.

All you need to know
Jose Mourinho is going shopping again.
His list is somewhat a ‘who’s who’ than most managers’ efforts. Eric Bailly in, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic nearly there and now we hear that apart from the in-the-balance transfer of Paul Pogba, that Mourinho has gone to the Bundesliga again and is eyeing up the talents of Julian Draxler, should the transfer of Mkhitaryan fail.
The Germany international, as we know, is currently in France at the EUROs, so nothing will happen until after July 10th, if anything at all.
However, once Mourinho hones in on a particular target, the Portuguese tactician usually gets his man. So will Draxler still come to United if the United boss gets his preferred target?
With all of the available players this summer, what is it about Draxler that makes him a name wanted by the Red Devils?
